The Campanile: Boutique Building on the Water

The Campanile is a prestigious prewar cooperative in the heart of Beekman Place that has counted Greta Garbo and Rex Harrison among its residents. Residents of this doorman building enjoy spectacular East River views and easy access to the FDR Drive, top restaurants and boutiques, and public transportation. The Campanile at 450 East 52nd Steet is a 14-story building that was built in 1927 and has 16 units. Each unit has its own private elevator sleeping and storage space. A full-time doorman, elevator operator, and in-house superintendent service this historic landmark that once served as the private entrance and landing stage for the famous Mayfair Yacht Club of the 1930s.
