Claire Smith is a native Texan who, after living in Boston for six years, has called New York City home for over two decades. She has a deep passion for real estate, from architectural detail to the rich history of buildings and neighborhoods, along with a flair for connecting people to properties which could become their ideal home.

Claire worked for many summers at a real estate law firm in Midtown Manhattan and developed a keen interest for the various aspects of purchase and sale transactions. She has experienced owning and selling her own co-op apartment as well as the purchase of a subsequent home, so knows the feeling of great joy and security the right property can bring to an owner. A true 'people person,' Claire loves to build and nurture relationships with clients, and takes great pleasure in helping others achieve their goals.

In addition, Claire is a professional violinist, educating families from across the five boroughs in the pursuit of music, and performing throughout the city as a classical musician in orchestras, chamber ensembles, for opera, dance, Broadway and Off-Broadway shows. She is also an early music specialist, and has run her own early music ensemble successfully for six seasons. As a rock musician, Claire has recorded albums and performed live on television with several rock artists for shows including, "Saturday Night Live," "The David Letterman Show" and "The View." She’s been the fiddle player for guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore for 10 years, with whom she has toured Europe, the United Kingdom, Russia, Ukraine, and stateside.

Claire volunteers for the community with the New York Junior League and currently is working on the 'Home Design' committee, which helps to blend her interests for both interior and exterior design. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and their loyal, beloved Pug dog.
