Laconda Verde at 377 Greenwich Street

This bustling corner restaurant has been welcoming New Yorkers and tourists’ morning, noon, and night since 2009 with a warm and comfortable atmosphere, leisurely Italian spirit and heartfelt cooking.  Having previously worked for Chef Andrew Carmellini,  I can preview this review and say with certainty that there is much to savor in every bite.

Co-owned by Robert De Niro, Chef Carmellini, and others, Locanda Verde has fed the likes of Harry Styles, Drew Barrymore, Savannah Guthrie, and Taylor Swift, who has been seen there multiple times, as it’s in her neighborhood.  It has the trifecta of fine dining in NYC - a great provenance, a great vibe and a great menu.   I highly recommend going 20 mins before your reservation so you can experience the beautiful bar and amazing cocktails from the mixologists. While dining, there isn’t a bad table in the house and the entire room looks gorgeous.

Here’s what I we had on our last visit and I would wholeheartedly recommend.  For appetizers we ordered the ricotta with herbs, also the focaccia bread. Our main courses featured Scallops ala Piastre, and lamb chops Scotadito, we complimented our dinner with two glasses of their pinot noir from Oregon which was organic wine and paired perfectly with our food.  We left with smiles on our faces and if our stomachs could smile, they would have been grinning too!

Book yourself a reservation for this time of the year and you can thank me later.  Cheers!
