George Jacobs - G+Pet of the Month November

Tis the Season... so we asked some Pets what they’re grateful for this year…

That's me, Georgie Boy... in the goofy pink hat!  What am I grateful for? Anything related to food (especially treats)… and also - big time - the amazing surprise birthday party my parents just threw to celebrate my 10th birthday!   Mom & Dad throw me a birthday party every year... and make a huge deal about it being a great big SURPRISE…  but I always know beforehand since it happens every Oct 22nd (duhhh… like I can’t read a calendar?). 

Also, Mom’s not great at secrets, of any kind, ever.  Still, I put on a big act for the parents… I'm like WHOPPEEEEE... madly racing in circles, leaping up and down... hysterically barking “Is it my birthday again???Really???  is it??? I cannot believe it!!!”  The parents love it!  Time does seem to be going by faster now that I’m 10.  I very clearly remember that first Oct 22nd birthday - 6 years ago when the parents picked me up from the shelter.  I was 4 then and am also super grateful for my adoption day.

Here’s my advice to humans …  if you like being appreciated... and enjoy celebrating birthdays, think about adopting a dog or cat - like me - from a shelter.  Then you can celebrate a lot… every day actually!
